A Day Of the Arts
Haha... you can't really imagine today man..... it's really a day which i get to TOTALLY experience the Arts... =) It was kinda fun for me coz i'm really an arts person...
First thing in the morning at about 9.30 am.... i went back to school with Pei Ying to go for CO (Chinese Orchestra)... I heard they were going to perform pieces for the upcoming Chinese New Year so they would then have to start practice now... Er... i was quite a noobie in chinese orchestra there coz i don't really know how to play, for the matter of fact, ANY of the instruments there except maybe the "er-hu" once from my sec. school friends...but neverthe less still a noob! haha =) Well as i stepped in, i realised i was the only one that doesn't know how to play any of the instruments that they have on offer.... well then i just decided to try out the Cello coz pei ying was playing it so then i could learn from her.... well still it was hard, then i tried the bass it was also kinda hard. However, one thing that i realise is that i guess most of the instruments in the CO is kinda Bad!!! especially the strings instrument coz the cello and the bass was very VERY hard to tune coz of the knob... u can't imagine the amount of force that i have exerted onto it, it was beyond hope... haha :D
Later in the afternoon about three plus i went for piano lessons, it was then the usual routine to practise my scales and exam pieces, and i have realised that now in grade 5 everything is precise and into timing, expression, articulation and phrasing.. wow.. that's a lot but still i have to hit the basics first... haha. My teacher also mentioned about the Musician's platform., another recital, ..... i think i shall sign up again then it's the fourth time!!! but i hope peeps from OG 19 and 4A 05' could come down to support me!!! Details will be let out later but temporary it's at 5pm to 6.30pm at millenia walk... date cannot remember...i'll try to play modern songs :D
Later in the night, i went to RV's Golden Jubillee concert ( Don't ask me how i got there) . I was aroused and amazed by their performances... each and everyone of their performance made my jaw drop.... it was very stunning. The dancers were very graceful and flexible and it was contemporary and modern... The choir though one of the pieces is kinda abstract but it was still good, the band and CO was really amazing as they played their pieces as if it was form a real band or orchestra and their instruments are far more better than our school...... The dramas were also quite nice... It was simply breathtaking... hahaha :D
